The following was written about the C7 on the Total Kit Car website( www.totalkitcar.co.uk ) on the 5th of May 2006 Another foreign visitor to Stoneleigh…..although the project has UK distribution, was the Michalak C7, available here exclusively through Smarts R Us. We did a feature on the hugely talented Bernd Michalak’s creation in our Winter 2005 issue and came away incredibly impressed with the whole Smart ForTwo-based concept. However, one look at the first production version at Stoneleigh revealed a whole host of detailed changes done in name of cosmetics and simplicity, for both production and the end builder. I have to put my hand on my heart and say that this one took my ‘car of the show’ award and I reckon the thing is a cracking piece of kit. If simplicity is genius then Bernd is on a par with Einstein! Kit prices start at £4570 inc VAT and allowing a couple of grand for a suitable donor you could conceivably be on the road for as little as £6500. 2005: C7
no.2 has been built at SRUS HQ in Nottingham and shown
to much critical acclaim at both the N.E.C and Earls Court at the MPH
Show. The Sunday Times described it as one of the most exciting new cars
of the show. |

2005: Driving is believing with the C7 and after a trip from
Nottingham to Bath last week we can safely say that this car is ready
